Therapy That Leads To Wellness
“Alone we can do so little; together, we can do so much.” – Helen Keller
Helen Keller once said, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” The reason this quote resonates with me is because, as a therapist, I have had the privilege of walking alongside people during times when they have felt alone, vulnerable, or overwhelmed. With my help, they learn to “listen” to their emotions and gain more control. So often, when we are alone during a difficult time, our ability to see beyond such challenges becomes compromised. Our vision narrows and hope dims. But through the collaborative efforts of the client and the therapist, healing, growth, and change can happen. Hope is restored.
Hello! I’m Trish
Owner / Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor
Helen Keller once said, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” The reason this quotation resonates with me is because, as a therapist, I have had the privilege of walking alongside people during times when they have felt alone, vulnerable, or overwhelmed. With my help, they learned to take time to “listen” to their emotions, gain clarity and subsequently, relate to themselves, others, and the world in a much healthier way. So often, when we are alone during a difficult time, our ability to see beyond such challenges becomes compromised. Our vision narrows and hope dims. But through the collaborative efforts of the client and the therapist, healing, growth, and change can happen. Hope is restored.

My Approach
CONNECT
The idea of reaching out to another individual when you are hurting, lonely, or in a vulnerable place can be overwhelming. I believe that authentic connection is about meeting you where you are in your journey toward healing and personal growth. I seek to establish a relationship that is rooted in compassion, trust, and respect while providing a safe space for you to share your story.
COLLABORATE
At its core, the counseling relationship is a partnership, a “together endeavor.” We each play an important role in your journey toward change. The role you play is more than simply talking, just as the role I play is more than simply listening. Your role is to be open to the process, honest, and intentional about which topics you would like to address. My role is to listen intently, ask clarifying questions and gain understanding. While I may have knowledge and experience about counseling theories and the counseling process, you are the expert about you!
CHALLENGE
As counseling progresses and we delve more deeply into your story, staying committed to the process is necessary. While the word “challenge” may not be a word that readily comes to mind when you think about counseling, long lasting change often results from effective challenges. When used appropriately and grounded in compassion, challenge is an essential part of the process in helping you reach your therapeutic goals.
CHANGE
People enter counseling for a variety of reasons, such as to seek healing from past wounds, gain insight on unhealthy patterns of behavior, learn effective strategies to manage emotions, or build resilience to face oncoming storms. Regardless of the reason, people generally come to counseling for the same reason people cross over bridges, to overcome an obstacle and ultimately reach their desired destination.
My Rates
My fee is $160.00 for initial evaluation and $130.00 for 55 minute ongoing therapy.
Insurance
If you haven’t yet met your deductible, your fee will be the contracted rate based on your insurance carrier. If you have met your deductible you will pay a copay which varies with each plan.
Because we are licensed, many insurance companies without network benefits will reimburse a percentage of the fee. We will provide an insurance statement to clients who want to file for insurance reimbursement. Most insurance companies require diagnostic impressions. You may understandably elect not to use your insurance to protect your confidentiality or to avoid a mental disorder label. Don’t hesitate to call with any questions.
Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
- You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
- Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
- If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
- Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
